Fifteen Richard Yates Letters, From a Boy of Thirteen to a Dying Man
The earliest was written in January 1939, when Yates was thirteen and telling a friend about the band they were forming. The last go to his youngest daughter, Gina, and in between are the separation, the alimony cheques, the drinking and the Hollywood work that never came off.
