The Network Said She Had No Television Credits, So He Hired Her Anyway

Showrunner Nick Antosca pushed to put Celiana Cardenas behind the camera on AMC's Cape Fear over network objections that she had never shot television, and the two of them walk through what they built once he won the argument. Cardenas is specific about the tools and the reasoning: the Alexa 35 for its saturation and contrast, and atmosphere made on set with wet-downs rather than rescued later in the grade.
