Young Projects, the Brooklyn studio Bryan Young founded in 2010 alongside Mallory Shure, treats fabrication and experiment as central to design. Work that starts as a digital inquiry often changes once it reaches an artisan's hands, and the studio welcomes the happy accidents. Laura Feinstein walks through the results: the Six Square House in Bridgehampton, which reimagines a 19th-century Hamptons barn type as six gabled 24-by-24-foot volumes around a courtyard; Casa las Olas in the Dominican Republic, roofed with 160 uniquely shaped scissor trusses; and its guest structure, the Glitch House, clad in more than 10,000 handmade encaustic cement tiles.

Findings across Design, Arts & Culture, Sound, Collecting, Document & Film, gathered each morning. Picked up wherever they were left.
