Vitra Planted Eight Thousand Saplings Where the Orchards Used to Be

Bas Smets built a Water Garden on the Weil am Rhein campus using a modified Miyawaki method, with three hectares of flower meadow and a rainwater-fed pond on ground cleared for industry in 1950. Hella Jongerius contributed three ceramic shark fountains, fired at 1,280 degrees.
